What We Do

MDSA started as one woman hoping to fulfill the dream of two young girls. Despite the tragic outcome of losing them to senseless violence, the dream has become a reality to bless the lives of a growing MDSA community. What started from a three car garage and one teacher, is now a 9,700 sq/ft non profit with a full staff and hundreds of families committed to preserving dreams.

MDSA Foundation is a nonprofit organization that delivers high-quality programs, lessons, and classes to the community.

Our Mission Statement

At MDSA Foundation, our mission is to inspire and empower individuals of all ages through the transforming influence of the arts. Through dance, music, and other artistic programs, we are changing lives and enriching our community.

Our Vision Statement

At MDSA Foundation, we envision a future where the transformative power of the arts creates a vibrant, inclusive, and inter-connected community. Through our diverse offerings and unwavering commitment to accessibility, we aim to be the catalyst for positive change, fostering creativity, personal growth, and lasting connections among individuals of all ages.

Our Values
We believe that dance, music, and other art programs can change lives and that it benefits and enriches children. We believe every child and adult who has the desire, should be able to experience the arts. We believe that parents with several children should not have to choose just one child to experience the arts due to financial inability. MDSA Foundation has a fund for merit and need based scholarships that are awarded as well.

We believe that music, theater, dance, and other creative arts can and should be a wholesome and uplifting experience. We want our students to know that they do not need to adhere to negative social pressures or feel compelled to participate in anything that compromises their personal standards. We believe that by offering inoffensive instruction with high standards, we are helping to shape a bright future for those who pass through our doors.

Our goal is to make it possible for people of all ages to be able to enjoy and share their love for the arts. We know that a creative outlet and movement can ease stress. The MDSA Foundation offers adult classes free of charge so that every adult has an opportunity to renew themselves and stay healthy.

Many free programs and cultural events are offered throughout the year. Our goal is to keep Spring, Texas the great place that it is, and to unite neighbors and communities through creativity, healthy opportunities, and service.
