MDSA Theatre emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and perseverance. Our students explore various dimensions of characterizations through use of movement, voice, expression, and written text. Through script work, movement exercises, and games of all kinds, students explore and hone their creative abilities culminating in live performances.

 

Theatre at MDSA incorporates a playful, action-filled, yet focused exploration of the theatre arts. Our programs emphasizing creativity, collaboration, and perseverance. Students are invited to explore various dimensions of characterizations through use of movement, voice, expression, and written text. Through script work, movement exercises, and games of all kinds, students are given opportunities to explore and hone their creative abilities, often culminating in a themed live performance.

 

Shows and courses are seasonal and subject to change. Currently, MDSA Theatre offers the following seasonal shows:

• Early Spring Performance (often January through March)

• Summer Day Camps (June through July)

• Early Fall Performance (often August through September)

• Winter Performance is reserved for our annual rendition of 'The Nutcracker' (often September through November)
