Welcome to a session of song, dance, character creation, and laughter. With the tools of drama, we build a musical from songs you know and love. This class is perfect for those wanting to get their feet wet in Musical Theatre while also learning theatre skills that will aid them in their future growth as a well-rounded artist. Each class students spend an hour and 45 minutes collaborating, learning tone and non verbal facial expressions, and improv, and towards the end of the session, set/costume creation. This creative whirlwind culminates in a parent show off on the last week of class.

MDSA Theatre is excited to announce that Summer 2026 will include not one, but TWO different levels of BAM: Build A Musical! BAM! Plus will move at a quicker pace than the other BAM (Build-a-Musical) we are offering. Ms. Shanea'a won't be spending very much time on teaching the basics of creating their musical because they will have already taken that course.
