The MDSA Foundation is pleased to announce the fifth performance of the world-renowned Ballet, The Nutcracker, this Holiday season. This Ballet was originally adapted from E. T. A. Hoffmann's story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King". It was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Tchaikovsky. We're excited to share our version of this beautiful story with our MDSA Community!!

There is no fee to audition but there is a casting fee to participate in our performance. Students must be enrolled in Ballet and be at least 6 years old (as of September 1st).

• MDSA Students: $60 casting fee

• Community members: $100 casting fee

• Adult cast: No charge

Practices and rehearsals will begin Wednesday, October 1st and go through November. They will take place on Wednesday evenings, Friday evenings, and Saturday mornings. These will be scheduled by parts after the cast has been finalized. Practices and rehearsals are required!

Performances will take place on Saturday, November 15th and 22nd, with two performances each day. Tickets will be available for purchase after rehearsals have started.
