Adult Classes: A Class for everyone!

Tap

  Have you taken Tap in the past or had a secret desire to try it? Here's your chance to brush up on new skills and or develop some new ones!

Here's a run down of what you'll learn:

Students will learn the basic sounds and steps of tap movements as well as the proper terminology.  Students will learn how to make rhythmic patterns and timing beats. Students will learn tap at the barre, traveling and center floor.  Students will develop an understanding of musicality, rhythm and coordination.  Students will develop basics and advance them by adding more beats and rhythms.  Students will learn how to free style tap as learn tap combinations.  

 

  • Class length 1 hour. Once a week.

Ballet

A foundational technique class for all genres of dance.  Students will learn the basic techniques of ballet barre, across the floor and center.  Students will learn the proper terminology associated with all movements and steps.  Students will learn turnout in the five basic positions as well as develop their turnout in additional steps.  Students will learn the importance of a strong center, body placement, balance, precise technique and gracefulness.  

 

  • Class length 1 hour. Once a week.

  •  August - May

Ballroom
Couples Group

Come join our weekly Progressive Adult Social Dance Class.

Every month we will focus on a

 specific dance and learn a pattern 

of steps to help you get out and 

dance with your partner! 

We will focus on dances such as 

Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba, Country Western, and more!!!

Any experience level is welcome.

  • 1 hour once a week. 

  • $35 per class, per couple

  •  $150 for a 6 class punch card, per couple

  • 4 month expiration date from the day the card was issued.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available. Days and times will depend on Instructor and space availability. Please contact MDSA for more information.

 

  • $50 for a 45 minute session.

Open Dance

On Friday nights we will have a room dedicated to those hoping to get extra practice. An Instructor will be present to assist and guide those who might need help. Couples are encouraged to remain with their partner. 

Master Classes

Master classes will be offered throughout the year. 

Singles Group

Due to low interest, the Singles Group has been postponed. For more information, please contact the Studio. 

Fitness
Dance Fitness

Get your heart rate up, have fun, and tone muscle all in one class! All you need to do is grab a water bottle, change into something you can sweat in, and show up!

Barre Workout

Barre Workout is a hybrid workout class that taps into your inner ballerina. It combines ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. This class will work your entire body but it's perfect for strengthening your core, as well as toning your  glutes and thighs. Due to the easily modifiable nature of this class, it's perfect for those recovering from injuries, pre or post-natal! 

Fitness Bootcamp

Prepare to sweat in this class. With a different workout each week, you can find what kind of workout best fits you! Workouts may include, but not limited to:

  • Circuit

  • HI-IT

  • Body weight Workouts
